Happy Birthday, Dr.King

He could have had a comfortable life… perhaps an affluent one given his level of education. Yet he lived, and advocated all of his adult life for others. Because he and many others lived, the fear of living in the South was broken. What was this fear? There was that fear that was embedded in every young black soul… Little social rules and norms that if you didn’t heed, you could find yourself dangling at the end of a rope.

Ultimately, he gave his life to the struggle for freedom.  But we remember him and his sacrifice today. I will always marvel at his strength and bravery in the face of deeply hostile forces.
